EUGENE – Oregon women’s tennis coach Alison Silverio announced the signing of Rifanty Kahfiani to a National Letter of Intent on Tuesday. Currently ranked No. 98 by the International Tennis Fedration, Kahfiani is the highest-ranked player Silverio has signed to the program in her two seasons as head coach.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Rifanty to our Oregon family,” Silverio said. “Rifanty is a major talent; however her work ethic, eagerness to develop, and desire to be a team player is what makes her exceptional. We believe in Rifanty’s abilities and know her confidence will permeate throughout our program. We have a solid nucleus of disciplined, resilient, hard-working players, and Rifanty adds value to our foundation. Rifa is ready to earn her wings.”
A native of Indonesia, Kahfiani has been competing on the junior circuit since 2011 and has found much success in both singles and doubles.
