ANN ARBOR – It’s no secret that Nico Collins is interested in Michigan.
The 2017 four-star wide receiver from Clay-Chalkville High School visited Ann Arbor twice in the last two months and participated in Michigan’s “Bright Lights Big House” camp on June 17. AL.com produced a video, which can be viewed above, in which Collins breaks down his recruitment and reiterates his top five schools are still Georgia, Alabama, Florida State, Clemson and Michigan.
“I’m from the state of Alabama,” Collins said. “A lot of people think I will stay in-state but, really, I will go anywhere.”
Collins, 6-foot-5 and 195 pounds, is the No. 1 recruit in Alabama, No. 13 receiver and No. 76 player overall in the 2017 class, according to 247 Sports. He’s planning on waiting until national signing day in February to make his commitment.
