With the bye week on hand, Texas assistants are hitting the road to evaluate prospects. While Tom Herman is flying his helicopter all over the greater Houston area, two Texas assistants are making their way to Florida. Per Josh Newberg of Noles247, Texas running back coach Stan Drayton and defensive coordinator Todd Orlando are in Bradenton, Fl to see IMG Academy in action.

The powerhouse football program is home to a number of talented prospects, but Texas is there to see linebacker commit Ayodele Adeoye and 2019 running back Noah Cain. Adeoye committed to Texas over the summer, and he’s been solid to the Longhorns since that time.

Cain is one of the major prospects on the Texas board for 2019, and the Longhorns are in a good spot with his recruitment. Cain forged a strong relationship with Stan Drayton through multiple visits over the summer, and sources have told Horns247 that the Longhorns are in the top group of schools recruiting him. Texas still faces major competition for Cain from schools such as Oklahoma, LSU and Ohio State.
