Pac-12 Announces Conference Slate

EUGENE, Ore. – The Pac-12 announced its conference and television schedule for the 2016 volleyball season, Monday, and Oregon will have 15 televised matches during the upcoming season.

The Ducks will play on the national stage once again when they take on, Washington, October 7 at 8 p.m. on ESPNU.

The Pac-12 Networks will televise 11 more Oregon matches during the conference schedule, as well as three marquee nonconference matchups. Oregon will open the season with the Vert Challenge at Matthew Knight Arena against Texas and Florida. The season opener against Texas is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 26, followed by a 6 p.m. matchup with Florida on Aug. 27.

The Ducks will also take on Big 10 power Illinois as part of another home tournament during the nonconference slate. That match will be carried by the Pac-12 Networks on Friday, Sept. 9 at 7 p.m.

The Ducks will open the Pac-12 schedule at home against in-state rival Oregon State on Thursday, Sept. 22, with California coming to town on Sunday, Sept. 25.

After a loaded home schedule to start the season, Oregon will leave the northwest for the first time when it travels to Arizona State (Sept. 30) and Arizona (Oct. 1).

The Ducks will return for a four-match home stand against the Washington schools and the southern California schools, meaning 14 of Oregon’s first 17 matches will be played at Matthew Knight Arena.
