Joel Honigford whittled down his list of college choices to a final four and Michigan and Michigan State are both on the list.
Honigford, a 2017 three-star offensive tackle from Garaway High School in Sugarcreek, Ohio, announced his final four via Twitter on Monday morning and listed, in alphabetical order, Auburn, Michigan, Michigan State and Oregon.
At 6-foot-6 and 278 pounds, Honigford is the No. 21 player in Ohio, No. 49 offensive tackle and No. 429 recruit overall in the 2017 class, according to 247 Sports Composite rankings. He has 29 offers from across the country, but not one from Ohio State. Honigford received an offer from Michigan State on Feb. 14 and one from Michigan on April 19.
Michigan has 16 players committed to its 2017 class, including a pair of offensive tackles in four-star Ja’Raymond Hall and three-star Andrew Stueber. That class is ranked No. 4 in the nation, according to 247 Sports.
Michigan State has 13 players committed to its 2017 class, including three-star offensive tackle Mustafa Khaleefah, four-star guard Kevin Jarvis and three-star guard Matt Carrick. The class is ranked No. 23 in the country.
