STARKVILLE, Miss. –  Coming off a solid start to the fall season, the Mississippi State women’s golf team returns to action as it treks to Oklahoma for the Schooner Fall Classic.

The three-day tournament tees off Saturday and concludes Monday, with teams playing 18 holes each day.

Monday’s final round will be broadcast live by Sooner Sports TV from 1-3:30 p.m. CT on Fox Sports Southwest and Fox College Sports Pacific. In addition to those channels, which reach 60 million households nationwide, streaming will also be available through the FOX Sports GO app with cable package authentication.

Chad McKee will provide play-by-play during the round, while former LPGA Tour player Stephanie Brecht and Kaitlyn Rohrback will serve as analysts.

The par-71, 6,046-yard Belmar Golf Club, a course very familiar to MSU, will once again play host to the event. The Bulldogs won the event in 2014 behind a course-record 63 from former All-American Ally McDonald. McDonald, who now stars on the LPGA Tour and is a volunteer coach for the team, won the event’s individual crown.

Ginger Brown-Lemm’s 2015 squad rallied for a third-place finish, while last season’s squad finished 12th.

The tournament is hosted in partnership with the Toby Keith Foundation, working to encourage the health and happiness of pediatric cancer patients and their families through OK Kids Korral, a cost-free comfortable home for pediatric patients receiving treatment. All proceeds from the Schooner Fall Classic benefit The Toby Keith Foundation. Following Saturday’s opening round, the golfers and staff members have the opportunity to interact with children staying at OK Kids Korral in Oklahoma City.

“We are extremely excited to compete in this event,” Brown-Lemm said. “The Schooner is one of the most elite tournaments in college golf. We have a great history in this event with a win and a Top-3 finish in the past three years, and we look forward to competing hard this weekend.”

The Bulldogs will send six players to Oklahoma, led by freshman Aubree Jones who is coming off a third-place finish in her collegiate debut at the Ocean Course Invite.

Teri Doss, Clara Moyano, Blaise Carabello, and Athena Yang join Jones in the lineup, while Kendall Wisenbaker will compete as an individual.

In addition to the television broadcast, fans can follow the three rounds on birdiefire.com and by searching @HailStateWG on the Bulldogs’ social media channels.
