COLUMBIA, Mo. — Looking for its first SEC win of the season, Mississippi State (9-12, 0-6 SEC) travels to Missouri ( 11-7, 6-1 SEC) on Friday.

MSU Travels to Missouri On Friday Seeking First SEC Win
COLUMBIA, Mo. Looking for its first SEC win of the season, Mississippi State (9-12, 0-6 SEC) travels to Missouri ( 11-7, 6-1 SEC) on Friday.
First serve is set for 6:30 p.m. CT on the SEC Network + from the Hearnes Center. Beau Baehman and Courtney Meek will be the talent for the game. Fans can also access the match on the WatchESPN app.
“I have a lot of respect or Coach Wayne Kreklow and what he’s done with the Missouri program,” third-year coach David McFatrich said. “There are things that I can take from him and what he’s done at Missouri and use to develop and build a program here at Mississippi State. We’re looking forward to playing them Friday.”
Missouri has a perfect 9-0 all-time ledger against MSU.

Setting The Scene…
After falling to LSU and Texas A&M on the road, the Bulldogs travel to Columbia, Mo., to face the Missouri Tigers on Friday.
Friday, October 6
LSU swept the Bulldogs (13-25, 21-25, 22-25).
Sunday, October 8
Texas A&M swept MSU (20-25, 15-25, 13-25).
MSU Travels to Columbia to Battle the Missouri Tigers
The Bulldogs will face off against the Tigers in Columbia for the tenth time in series history. Mizzou leads the series 6-0 when playing in Columbia, as well as leading the all-time series, 9-0.
Eyes on The Missouri Tigers
The Tigers are 4-1 in SEC play so far this season, with three of their SEC victories on the road, giving them an overall record of 11-7. Missouri’s only SEC loss has been to then No. 10 Kentucky in four on Wednesday, Sept. 20 (19-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-19).
Ashley Munlyn leads the team with 151 kills and 114.0 total blocks. Courtney Eckenrode has 552 assists and averages 7.77 per set. Riley Sents leads UM in digs, with 244.

Harris Achieves The MSU’s Digs Record…
Senior Payton Harris eclipsed the 1,000 digs mark for her career last season. On Oct. 1, 2017, against No. 10 Kentucky, Harris achieved the school record. She now has 1,736. She surpassed Melissa Kariker (1993-1996) who held the first place spot with 1,707 digs.
Lehto Chasing The Freshman Assists Record Book …
Freshman Carina Lehto has been credited with 148 assists this season, the ninth most for a MSU freshman. She is 46 assists away from tying the eighth spot (Grace Hoyt).
Gray Sets Her Eyes On Total Blocks Record Book …
Freshman Laura Rose Gray has earned 62 total blocks so far this season. She currently holds the ninth spot for most total blocks as a freshman. She is five total blocks away from eighth place (Erin Seago).
Swing, Sara, Swing!
Sara Maddox completed her first collegiate game at SMU with a career-high 25 kills. Currently, she has 178 kills and 192.0 points.
Jelena Vujcin Shines On The Stat Charts
Jelena Vujcin leads the team in three categories: kills (262), kills per set (3.49) and points (307.5).
Harris can “dig it”
Payton Harris currently leads the team with 219 digs so far this season.  She had a season-high 23 against South Carolina on Sept. 22.
Admission to the Hearnes Center
Admission to the Hearnes Center is $8 per adult and $5 for youth and seniors.
MSU Prepares for a Home Match Against Georgia …
After Friday’s match in Columbia against Missouri, the Bulldogs return home to face Georgia. The Dig Pink Match marks the eighth SEC match-up of the season. The game will air on the SEC Network + at 2 p.m. from Starkville.
