Michigan makes cut for 2019 5-star DE Stephen Herron Jr.

ANN ARBOR – Stephen Herron Jr. made an initial cut in his recruitment and Michigan was part of it.

Herron, a 2019 five-star defensive end from Trinity High School in Louisville, Ky., listed a top 10 via Twitter on Sunday and named Michigan, Stanford, Ohio State, Kentucky, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Texas and Alabama.

At 6-foot-3 and 235 pounds, Herron is the No. 4 weak-side defensive end and No. 34 overall player in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He received an offer from Michigan in February.

Michigan doesn’t have a player committed to its 2019 class.
