Jim Harbaugh, Michigan cancel final Samoa satellite camp due to Zika fear

June 30, 2016

Jim Harbaugh was supposed to be in America Samoa on Thursday for the final stop on Michigan’s satellite camp tour.

But that’s not going to happen.

Per John Raynar, the communications director for the Republican Party of American Samoa, Harbaugh and Michigan called off their return trip to Samoa due to a fear of the Zika Virus.

Harbaugh’s wife, Sarah, is pregnant.

A portion of Michigan’s coaching staff was in Samoa at the beginning of the month for one of the first camp stops on the tour. Harbaugh did not make that trip himself, though.
