The USC football team has scheduled a 3-game home series against Fresno State, with the Bulldogs visiting the Coliseum in the 2019, 2022 and 2025 seasons.
Also, USC’s previously-announced home game with UNLV in 2019 has been moved to 2018 as the Sept. 1 season opener.
USC will host Fresno State on Aug. 31, 2019, Sept. 17, 2022 and Aug. 30, 2025. The 2019 and 2025 contests are season openers for the Trojans.
USC and Fresno State previously have met 4 times. After the Bulldogs beat Troy, 24-7, in the 1992 Freedom Bowl, USC posted a 50-42 regular season win in the Coliseum in 2005 (the victory was later vacated due to NCAA penalty), a 45-20 win in the 2013 Las Vegas Bowl and a 52-13 Coliseum victory to open the 2014 season.
USC’s 2016 non-conference slate includes Alabama on Sept. 3 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tex., as well as home games against Utah State on Sept. 10 and Notre Dame on Nov. 26.
USC’s future non-conference schedule also features Texas in 2017 (home) and 2018 (away) and BYU in 2019 (away), 2021 (home) and 2023 (home), plus home games versus Western Michigan (2017), New Mexico (2020) and Rice (2022). Since 1926, USC has annually (except during World War II) played Notre Dame in a series that currently runs through 2023.
Since 2000, in addition to Fresno State and Notre Dame, Troy also has played Ohio State, Auburn, Nebraska, Penn State, Arkansas, Virginia Tech, Kansas State, Syracuse, Boston College, Hawaii, Minnesota, Virginia, Idaho and Arkansas State on its regular season non-conference slate.
