The No. 23 overall prospect in the Composite, Eagles is considered a Texas lean. Eagles had the Longhorns in the Top 10 he released at the end of April and Texas has maintained an upper hand publicly with an overwhelming lead in Eagles’ 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions.

All 14 predictions for Eagles have gone the way of the Longhorns:

Eagles told Horns247 during a recent interview that Tom Herman and the Longhorns are sitting in a good position with him.

“I’m still monitoring the situation because they haven’t had a season yet,” Eagles said. “I like Coach Herman, Drew Mehringer and all of the coaches. I just have to see how the season plays out in order to get a good perspective.

“I’ve talked to Herman just about every other day,” he added. “We just talk about making history in this class and trying to have the biggest recruiting class in Texas history.”
