Big Ten Releases Breakdown for 2017 Conference Schedule

ROSEMONT, Ill. — In conjunction with the Big Ten Conference, the University of Michigan men’s and women’s basketball programs announced today (Monday, June 20) a breakdown of its opponents for the 2017 conference schedule.

With the men’s team playing an 18-game schedule, there will be five home-and-home match-ups including intrastate rival Michigan State. The other home/away series games will be Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska and Wisconsin.

The remaining eight games will be broken up with four home and four away. The Wolverines will have homes games with Maryland, Ohio State, Penn State and Purdue and travel to Iowa, Minnesota, Northwestern and Rutgers.

With a 16-game conference schedule, the women’s team will have three total home-and-home series against Indiana, Nebraska and Wisconsin. The remaining 10 games will be split five and five as the women will host Iowa, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern and Rutgers. The five single road games will be at Illinois, Maryland, Ohio State, Penn State and Purdue.

All dates, times and television designations will be announced at a later date.
