11:55 p.m.: The Pistons grab Syracuse guard Michael Gbinije with the 49th overall pick.

11:25 p.m.: The long wait finally ends for Michigan State’s Deyonta Davis, who is selected with the first pick in the second round. He’s bound for Memphis, but won’t have a guaranteed contract.

10:10 p.m.: Jay Bilas says Pistons selection Henry Ellenson could develop into a pick-and-pop forward and “works his tail off.”

9:50 p.m.: Here’s the stunner of the night. Michigan’s Caris LeVert goes to the Brooklyn Nets with the 20th overall pick. (The Pacers made the pick officially, but it’s part of the Thaddeus Young trade.)

9:40 p.m.: The Pistons pick Marquette freshman Henry Ellenson with the 18th overall pick.

8:47 p.m.: Boom.

8:20 p.m.: Buddy Hield and a healthy Anthony Davis could help make the Pelicans a playoff team again soon. And Jamal Murray to Denver? What about Gary Harris?

7:43 p.m.: Simmons to the 76ers, Ingram to the Lakers. Now the craziness of this year’s draft should begin, led by the Boston Celtics.

7:35 p.m.: And we’re off …

7:15 p.m.: Checking in on the fashion choices of draft prospects Deyonta Davis, Denzel Valentine and Caris LeVert:
