USC’s Brent Wheatley, UCLA’s Eric Filia highlight O.C. choices on final day of MLB draft

Seventeen baseball players with county ties were drafted Saturday during the third and final day of the MLB draft.

Among the notable selections were Orange Lutheran graduate and 17th-round choice Brent Wheatley, (Marlins) who pitched four years at USC, and Edison High graduate and 20th-round pick Eric Filia (Mariners), who played three seasons in the outfield for UCLA.
