UO Earns No. 5 Seed in NCAA Tourney
EUGENE, Ore. – The four-time Pac-12 champion Oregon softball team was named the No. 5 overall seed in the NCAA championships and will host Baylor, Long Beach State and Fordham in the Eugene regional starting Friday at Jane Sanders Stadium.
All session general admission and limited reserved tickets will go on sale at 10 AM on Monday morning at GoDucks.com/tickets. All-session tickets are sold for Friday, Saturday and Sunday and cost $20 for general admission, $40 for reserved tickets and are good for all games on a particular day.
Oregon’s first game of the regional – against Fordham at 8:30 PM on Friday – will be aired live on ESPN2. The TV schedule for the remaining games is TBA.
OREGON’S REGIONAL HISTORY
This is Oregon’s 18th time advancing to the NCAA regionals and the fifth straight time the Ducks have hosted regionals. The Ducks are 18-0 in regional games in six seasons under head coach Mike White. Oregon has met Fordham in regionals once before, winning 2-0 in 2011 at the State College (Pa.) regional. The Ducks have never met Baylor or Long Beach State in postseason play. Oregon is 9-4 all-time against Long Beach State, including a 12-3 win last season. The Ducks are 3-0 all-time against Fordham with the last meeting a 3-2 win in 2014. Baylor leads the all-time series, 6-2, over the Ducks. The teams split a pair of games in Waco last season.

Game 4 – Losers of game 1 and game 2 – 4:30 PM

Game 6 – Winner of game 3 and winner of game 5 – 4 PM
Game 7 – Repeat of game 6 (if needed) – 6:30 PM
