ANN ARBOR — It’s never too early for some betting lines, right?
College football is still more than three months away, but some early Las Vegas odds trickled out Friday that include Michigan’s two rivalry games.
Per one Vegas sportsbook, Michigan is an early two-point favorite for its Oct. 29 trip to Michigan State and a 6 1/2-point underdog for its Nov. 26 trip to Ohio State.
The Wolverines lost at home to the Spartans last season, 27-23, on a last-second muffed punt return for a touchdown. The loss was Michigan’s seventh in eight tries against MSU. The Wolverines’ last win at Spartan Stadium came in 2007.
Michigan also lost at home to Ohio State last season in humbling fashion, as the Buckeyes notched a 42-13 drubbing at Michigan Stadium.
The Wolverines have not won at Ohio Stadium since 2000 — a 38-26 victory. The Buckeyes have won 11 of the last 12 meetings between the two schools and six straight in Columbus.
Michigan’s 2016 season will officially kickoff Sept. 3 against Hawaii at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor.
