May 4, 2016

BATON ROUGE, La. – Two LSU men’s tennis players were selected by the NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Subcommittee to have both a singles and doubles nomination for the NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Championship as announced Wednesday.

LSU junior Jordan Daigle, who saw time exclusively on court one for the Tigers, has been selected to play in the singles draw among 63 other top singles players. Daigle, ranked 45th in the nation, has accumulated eight singles wins in the dual season.

Daigle and partner Boris Arias have been selected as one of the 32 teams in the doubles competition this year. This No. 7 team has 15 wins for the season and took down No. 1 duo in Florida’s Gordon Watson and Diego Hidalgo in March.

Both singles and doubles will take place May 25-30 at the Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma after the conclusion of the team championship. All matches will be best-of-three sets with no-ad scoring. In doubles, there will be a 10-point tiebreaker if the match is pushed to a third set.
