Sophomore Adoree’ Jackson wins men’s long jump and 100m dash at dual meet with UCLA.
LOS ANGELES – USC track sophomore Adoree’ Jackson and sophomore water polo athlete Brianna Daboub were named USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of April 26-May 2, on Wednesday, May 3.

Adoree’ Jackson won the men’s long jump with a best leap of 25-4.75/7.74m (+0.0) to earn five points in the dual meet with UCLA on Sunday (May 1) in Westwood, Calif. After five events, the Trojans trailed 25-20.
The sophomore also helped win a 4x100m relay that featured three football players with a season-best time by the Trojans of 39.89 to earn another five points in the meet.
Jackson then won the men’s 100m dash with a wind-legal PR of 10.38 (+0.0) to earn five more points and narrow the gap to 38-48, which was the closest deficit the USC men would get to on the day. He also placed second in the 200m with a PR of 21.08.
The USC track & field team returns to action at the Pac-12 Multi-Events Championships on Saturday (May 7) in Seattle, Wash.
USC CREDIT UNION WOMEN’S STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Brianna Daboub scored three goals for the Trojans to key the comeback 8-5 victory over Stanford to win the team’s fourth MPSF Championship on Sunday (May 1) at the Hillman Memorial Aquatic Center in Bakersfield, Calif. Down 5-4 early in the fourth quarter, the Trojans made a four-goal surge that included Daboub scoring the first and last goals of the rally.
In the third quarter, Daboub nailed a goal off the crossbar to equalize the score at 2-2. With Stanford leading 4-3, the Trojans’ four-goal rally began with Daboub knocking in her second goal of the day. The rally helped propel the Trojans to the 8-5 victory to clinch the 2016 MPSF Championship.
The Women of Troy next compete in the NCAA Championships against San Diego State/Wagner on Friday (May 13) at 3:30 p.m. PT in Westwood, Calif.
