BATON ROUGE, La. – LSU junior shortstop Kramer Robertson was named a Second-Team All-American Thursday by Collegiate Baseball magazine.
Robertson, a product of McGregor, Texas, received First-Team All-SEC recognition last month, and he was named to the Brooks Wallace Award Watch List earlier this season as a National Shortstop of the Year candidate.
Robertson is hitting .316 (75-for-237) this season with 17 doubles, two triples, one homer, 36 RBI, 53 runs scored and 14 stolen bases, and he has committed just 11 errors in 233 chances. He was LSU’s leading hitter in SEC games, batting .363 with nine doubles, one triple, one homer, 19 RBI and 26 runs.
Robertson ranks No. 7 in the SEC in doubles, No. 7 in the league in runs scored and No. 12 in base hits.
Robertson is LSU’s leading hitter this season with runners in scoring position, batting .383 (31-for-81) when he has an RBI opportunity. He delivered a walk-off single in the ninth inning last Tuesday to lift LSU to 5-4 win over Tennessee in its SEC Tournament opener.
