KNOXVILLE, Tenn. –LSU collected 11 runs on 13 hits while limiting Tennessee to only 3 runs en route to a series win over the Volunteers by a score of 11-3 in game two at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
The Tigers improved to 35-16 (16-10 SEC) on the year while Tennessee falls to 26-25 (7-19 SEC).
Jared Poche’ (6-4) earned the win for LSU firing 5.1 innings and allowing only two runs on eight hits. Tennessee’s Zach Warren (5-5) was charged with the loss, giving up six runs on five hits in 0.1 innings.
LSU will look to go for the sweep tomorrow at 1 p.m. CT.
