ANN ARBOR – Michigan is a finalist for one of the top 2017 wide receivers in the nation.
Tee Higgins, a 6-foot-4, 188-pound five-star prospect from Oak Ridge High School in Tennessee, tweeted his top 10 schools and named Michigan, Ohio State, Florida State, Georgia, Tennessee, Clemson, Notre Dame, Alabama, LSU and Ole Miss. He said the schools were listed in no order.
Higgins, who had 52 catches for 941 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior, decommitted from Tennessee in February to re-open his recruiting in both football and basketball. He’s the No. 3 receiver and No. 16 player overall in the 2017 Class, according to 247 Sports Composite rankings, and has 22 offers.
Michigan is also pursuing Detroit Cass Tech’s Donovan Peoples-Jones, the No. 1 receiver in the nation, and Joseph Lewis, the No. 2 receiver in the country from Augustus F. Hawkins High School were Michigan will hold a satellite camp on June 25.
